Biography:
Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School. She was previously the principal horn of the Saint Louis Symphony, associate principal horn of the Dallas Symphony, third horn of the New Jersey Symphony and performer/faculty at the Aspen Music Festival and School.
Ms Montone has performed as a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Saint Louis Symphony, Dallas Symphony, National Symphony the Warsaw Philharmonic, Polish National Radio Symphony and the Curtis Orchestra, among others. As a chamber musician, she has performed with the Bay Chamber Concerts, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, La Jolla Chamber Music Festival, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Spoleto (Italy) Chamber Music Festival and Marlboro Music Festival. She was awarded a 2006 Avery Fisher Career Grant. Ms Montone is a graduate of The Juilliard School, where she studied with Julie Landsman, principal horn of the Metropolitan Opera. A native of northern Virginia, she studied with Edwin Thayer, principal horn of the National Symphony, as a fellow in the Symphony’s Youth Fellowship Program.
