Laurel Spencer received her Bachelor of Music from the University of Victoria, British Columbia and then obtained her Master’s in Performance at the Mannes School of Music, New York where she was a student of Philip Myers. She is the Principal Horn of the Vancouver Opera and also plays with numerous orchestras and ensembles including the Vancouver Symphony, Victoria Symphony, and Turning Point Ensemble. Laurel enjoys teaching and coaching in the Vancouver area and has recently taken on the position of Personnel Manager for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
